A Cherry Mobile Christmas

I attended the Cherry Mobile launch event a couple of years ago when it was a just a fledgling newcomer. Moving forward, Cherry Mobile has come a long way, having inched its way into the mobile phone market. At the recent launch of its latest products, Cherry Mobile is set to once again shake the market with its newest line-up of powerful Android smartphones and tablets.

Dual SIM Smartphones

Following its release of Orbit, the first 3G Dual SIM Android in the country, Cherry Mobile further strengthens its true dual SIM capabilities in its smartphone collection. In bringing Wi-Fi and Android 2.2 Froyo technology together, hip and colorful power phones were created -- the new full-touch Candy and its touch & QWERTY type version, Candy Chat. Both units, which support micro SD card up to 16GB, are a steal at Php3,699. The purple unit caught my eye so I'm putting it in my Christmas wish list.

As if Candy and Candy Chat are not shining stars enough, Cherry Mobile introduces the Stellar unit. Stellar, in black, is the serious-looking phone which allows users to get a refined user interface and access to thousands of available applications through its Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. Powered by Qualcomm 7227T 800 MHz processor and sports a 3.5” HVGA Capacitive Touch Panel, its other features include a 5.0 MP camera, Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities. Functioning also as a portable hotspot, Stellar shines at a price of Php7,899.

Cherry Pad runs on an 800 MHz processor and Android 2.2 Froyo platform, and retails for an affordable price of only Php3,899.

Both tablets have 7” Full Touch Screen, Wi-Fi Connectivity, 4GB internal storage and expandable micro SD card up to 32 GB.
